We are pleased to announce that Danwood has been awarded the Xerox Authorised Reseller of the Year for 2012. This prestigious and highly valued recognition was announced at Xerox UKs annual partner congress, held last Thursday and recognises all aspects of Danwood’s sales and solutions provision for the entire Xerox range.
Today, Danwood published its accounts for the year ending September 30th, 2011. They illustrate continued health and progress during a period of change in that financial year. They also signal the need for decisive actions to build strengthened governance and control processes. These actions have now been taken.
At the start of 2011 the Danwood Holdings Board reviewed our auditors, who at that time were Ernest & Young. The reason for this review was that the Board felt the existing audit process was not as in depth as required given the size and growth plans of the company and the impending impact of IFRS adoption due in 2014. This review process concluded with the appointment of PWC, based on their extensive experience in our industry and also the references we reviewed.
Danwood has grown from a turnover of £100million to our new budgeted turnover of £265 million. This growth has brought new challenges to the Group as we transition from an SME to the largest independent supplier in our sector in Europe and possibly the world. The Group Holdings Board is determined to continue this growth and has in recent months given considerable thought to strengthening the management team to enable the company to achieve its next exciting stage of growth and development.
